How to plant Chilli pepper?

Hi guys, I'm really excited to plant this plant from seeds! Do you think I could plant this chili plant in an area with lots of water, like near a river?

Yeah, it can because this plant is a bit of a thirsty plant and just needs a little water now and then. It also likes loamy soil and has good drainage, so that's something else to keep in mind.
